smal but cosy very clean room
Easy to find. Close to connections to and from airport. I was able to relax as soon as I entered my room. I hope to be back next month.
loby-the rome very small.
Only the location of the hotel.
Staff - especially those that are in the counter. When I get to the hotel and approached the staff at the counter I was surprised that the supposedly nice welcoming staff at the hotel as frontliners, were rude. The lady staff even told us that we should already pay the full amount before we see the room because, according to her, "...I might not like the room and would just leave!" Goodness gracious! That was the most welcoming greet I ever had in hk. She asked me to pay everything. She even asked me to give her a hk$300 advance in case I would use anything at the room. Room - I booked thru Booked.net because of its reputation. When it says hotel, anybody would expect a room bigger than 12sqm including the t&B. And the beds are at its standard size. For four nights I slept on a bed while my feet are under a table/counter. I stand only 68 inches. Beds are supposedly 75 inches length but theirs are even shorter than my height. Everytime I would extend my hand to my side while sleeping I could already reach my friend who was sleeping in the other bed. Imagine the distance of the two beds? 16 inches! Our baggages could hardly place anywhere. That was a miserable hotel. Booked.net should have mentioned in the ads that it was not a hotel, they should have placed there, Hostel or better yet, Inn. And that was at a Promo price when I booked it because it says there, "Book earlier and have discounts" I think two months earlier was not late for discounts. Surprisingly, I paid more than hk$5000! Thanks for the promo. When I called the counter again the night before I would go back to manila, the lady there was again very consistent to be rude. I asked for a reservation for taxi transfer to the airport. I was looking for the other staff I talked to about the taxi, she said. "You come down here and talk to her. She cannot talk to you on the phone". Wow! I still love the people in my hospitable country.... And thanks for the nicest staff.
The shuttle bus.
I booked 1 room for 2 people. When I checked in there was only double bed available. The staff gave me one room access card, I then requested 2. Very funny the answer was one card per one bed. Stubborn arrangement.
I only like the price and location other than that I wont choose to stay here
- room are way too small - staff are not friendly
- The shuttle bus to the train station was useful.
- I was staying on the 17th Floor and could not get the free wifi. This is a big issue as I came here on business. - I was having lunch last Friday and found a small cockroach in the soup and informed the waitress. She was not apologic as if it was quite normal. She did not assist me to get another bowl and just took my bowl away.
Although the room was small but clean. I was staying in corner lot unit so I have more space to put my luggage. Do provide Free WiFi even it showed Not Avalaible in the Booked.net website. 5min walks from Yau Ma Tei MTR station Exit C. Temple Street is just located next to Silka Seaview Hotel, convenient for shopping and hunt for food. The hotel staffs are friendly and efficient. I would strongly recommend my friends to this hotel and will come back for the next stay.
Clean, complete even small. the water supply and hot water very good enough! Overall quite satisfying!
Still believewe were in a Standard room not deluxe as quoted. Could not imagine a room of lower class, photos are deceiving, foyer always full with not enough amenities on the lobby area and having to weigh your luggage still sure that we were in the standared room as it was so small weon a large hand held fish scale. Would not return to this hotel and considering that l have returned to Hong Kong around 100 times ( 85-90 for business) over 45 years it is a big call
Convenience of shopping, eating and nearby Yaumatei MTR. The hotel has been renovated and the furnitures and fitting are nice. Bed is comfortable. Comes with FREE WiFi
The room is very small.
For one, the location is pretty strategic if you are wanting to stay in Kowloon. The MTR (underground metro rail) station Yau Ma Tei is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. One particular information that was not available to me when I booked this hotel was the cheapest mode of transport to reach the hotel from the Airport. Well, there are two ways. You could either take bus no. 21-A from the Airport and get down at Yau Ma Tei bus stop and reach the hotel through a 5 minute walk. The one way cost of this trip is HKD 33$. The other faster mode available is to take the Airport express and get down at Kowloon station. Just as you come out of the station, there is a hotel shuttle available every hour that will take you to the hotel free of charge. The bus is normally available at hourly rests starting from 8:30 in the morning and probably till 10:30 in the night. The Airport express charges HKD 90 one way. The Hotel itself is kept in very good condition and rooms are very clean, though the size is a bit small. If you just intend to stay at the hotel without looking for any additional frills, the place is very good.
The breakfast spread very very very mediocre with a very limited variety available........For Vegetarians, it is a nightmare, without question. Though the staff is not bad so as to say, but they are not very well trained to handle International tourists. They look to be lacking in enthusiasm that you would normally associate yourself with the hospitality business. Otherwise, no complaints.
Convenient location, close to all shopping districts, and adequate for a one-night stay.
Probably the room size, barely enough for two people with two suitcases!
Neat, clean room, nice service, free shuttle bus to the airport express station
It took a long time to wait for the elevator
Very good location near the Nathan Road and near the mrt station. The Temple street market is around the corner.
Very small room with hardly any space to put your luggage. Elevator s are busy in peak hours.
